Derbyshire Parent Carer Voice (DPCV) is a charity run by and for parent/carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) 0-25 years. Preparing for Adulthood Workshop

Derbyshire Parent Carer Voice (DPCV) are delighted to be able to offer members the opportunity to take part in an online event with Clare Pacey, Lead Officer for Preparing for Adulthood from Derbyshire County Council.

There will be a short introduction followed by information on the following subjects

• What is meant by Preparation for Adulthood (PfA) and what does this include?
• What education pathways are available post-16 and beyond (including supported internships)?
• What support might be available from services within DCC, including social care and Community Connectors?
• What to expect if your young person has an EHCP, including what to expect at their annual review meetings?
