Autism Education Trust Logo - Schools Professional Development Programme

We are aiming to empower schools to be training an Autism Advocate in each setting, who will be provided with:

  • High quality resource material to deliver training in their own setting
  • Regular network meetings to share good practice and receive further Continued Professional Development (CPD)
  • Regular newsletters and resources to develop good practice to support their neurodivergent community in school.

If you would like to become an Autism Advocate, please view the flyer in the related documents section of this page and email autism.outreach@derbyshire.gov.uk to receive more information and an application form.

Schools with Trained Autism Advocates

For each course delivered in a school by the school's Autism Advocate, please complete and send the booking form found in the related documents section of this page, to request a link so that your participants are able to complete their evaluation and receive a certificate for the module.

You will need to apply for a separate link depending on whether you are delivering 'Making Sense of Autism' and 'Good Autism Practice'.

Autism Advocates Network Meetings:

We offer three hour-long online network meetings each year containing CPD and networking opportunities. The same meeting will be offered twice in one week – you only need to attend one. A link will be sent to Autism Advocates via email.
