The Derbyshire Local Offer works closely with Derbyshire Parent Carer Voice (DPCV), an independent parent carer forum that represents the views and experiences of families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across Derbyshire. DPCV is led by volunteer parent carers who use their lived experience to help improve services and support for families.
We share a commitment to making sure the voices of children, young people, parents and carers are heard. Through regular engagement, consultation activities and co-production opportunities, DPCV gathers feedback from families and works with education, health and social care services to influence positive change.
Feedback gathered by DPCV helps shape the development of the Derbyshire Local Offer, ensuring that information, services and support reflect the needs of SEND families. By working together, we can identify areas for improvement, celebrate what is working well, and help families access the information and support they need.
