Connected Futures, an in-depth research project within the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA), has launched a series of inspiring videos featuring employees with Learning Disabilities (LD) and/or Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) pursuing their career aspirations.
The videos feature seven inspirational role models. Each role model has been filmed in their workplace and talks about:
- Their job roles
- What they enjoy about the role
- The challenges they’ve overcome
- Advice for others looking to start work.
Role models can play a big part in inspiring young people to follow their aspirations.
These videos were commissioned as part of the Connected Future project.
