The National Trust’s SEND-friendly storytelling session offers a welcoming, supportive environment for neurodivergent children, children with complex needs, and those who benefit from a quieter, more flexible experience.

Set in the Riding School, the session is inspired by Wonder World: Earth by Ben Lerwill and Xuan Le. The storytelling element will be shorter and sign-supported using Makaton, helping to bring the story and its themes of soil and underground life to life in an accessible way.

After story time, families can enjoy colouring and crafts at their own pace, either on site or to take home. Timings are flexible, and you’re welcome to leave whenever feels right for you.

Craft materials are included, and copies of the book will be available in the shop.

Booking is for all children attending the event. Up to two adults can accompany each child - there is no additional cost for accompanying adults.

Child tickets are priced at £5.
