The event allows people with Autism and other disabilities to have fun in an environment where they can truly be themselves, whilst providing parents and carers a space to relax, all without fear of judgement.

The Spectrum festival was the first of its kind in the UK with its many fantastic activities, exhibitors, acts and staff who will provide a fun and inclusive environment for everyone to enjoy themselves throughout the day. The aim of the festival is to support and educate families, giving guidance to those who need it.

In 2023, representatives from Derbyshire County Council's Participation Team were in attendance. When speaking with families, the team found that more attendees were living in Derbyshire, when compared to previous years. In 2023, 77% of children, young people, and parents & carers spoken to came from Derbyshire. In 2022, 68% of attendees came from Derbyshire, and in 2021, 42% of attendees came from Derbyshire. In 2023, 25% more people spoke with Derbyshire County Council's Participation Team. The participation team received lots of useful feedback!

The festival takes place at Lea Green Learning and Development Centre in Derbyshire, a fantastic facility with a reputation for excellence in all areas. All ages are welcome, and you don't need an official diagnosis to attend.
