Autism East Midlands (AEM) have family support hubs located in Chesterfield, Heanor and other surrounding areas.
The aim of the hub is to offer support and a safe space for families who have children on the Autistic Spectrum, but no diagnosis is needed to attend. These are drop-in sessions for the whole family to enjoy, aimed at children under 11 years of age.
The Autism Family Support Hub is a very relaxed stay and play session, with the aim of offering support if needed for families with autistic children, with or without a diagnosis.
Children 11 and under, including siblings, can enjoy crafts, sensory activities and toys.
Parents and carers can engage in activities too, or enjoy some refreshments whilst talking to other families and sharing experiences or speaking with staff for advice and support.
