Rural Action Derbyshire works with a network of foodbanks across the county to ensure that no one has to go hungry. Arena Community - Foodbank Project (Ilkeston)
Arena Community offers a wide range of support services for people in need. From food and clothing provision, to help with housing, wellbeing, and more. The foodbank is open every Tuesday and Friday, midday to 2pm, serving hot food and drinks, and providing a safe place for people to sit and chat. The foodbank is also able to provide food parcels with a 3-day provision through a means-tested interview.
Chesterfield Foodbank

Derbyshire's 'It's About Me' Holiday Activity and Food programme (HAF)
Derbyshire's popular holiday activities and food programme 'It's About Me' will be back this summer. Clubs will run between Monday 28 July 2025 and Wednesday 3 September 2025 (excluding bank holidays and weekends), with bookings opening soon.
Derbyshire Discretionary Fund (DDF)
Derbyshire County Council are using part of the Household Support Grant funding to increase the scope of the Derbyshire Discretionary Fund so they can help more residents. Households facing financial hardship can apply directly to the Derbyshire Discretionary Fund for help towards food costs. Payments are £65 per household plus an extra £15 will be provided for each partner or spouse, and each dependent child.
