The new Derbyshire SEND and Inclusion Strategy 2026 to 2031 sets out our shared vision for ensuring that children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) feel included, valued, listened to and supported to achieve their best. Developed with children, young people, families and professionals, the strategy focuses on improving experiences and outcomes through strong partnership working across education, health and care.
Built around six priorities, the strategy aims to ensure that every child and young person feels they belong, is safe, healthy, heard and supported to achieve their aspirations. By working together and strengthening inclusive practice across Derbyshire, we want children, young people and families to access the right support at the right time and have every opportunity to thrive in their community.
