Autism East Midlands have a Dads’ Social Support Group for dads around Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire.

This is a new group aimed at dads of children on the autism spectrum, though the children do not have to have a diagnosis for the dads to be able to attend.

The intention is to have activities such as golf, pub-visits, meals and walks, but Steve is very happy to take suggestions on what the group would like to do next! The sessions are for the dads to attend on their own, without their children, and date and location will vary depending on what the group decide to do.

Dads can engage in an activity whilst chatting to others who attend, sharing their experiences, or speaking with staff for advice and support.

Please get in touch with Steve McKinley to find out when and where the next meeting is.
